Roll over your monthly mobile data caps with Carphone Warehouse iD

Get what you pay for if you don't hit your download cap

Hitting your data cap can be a major pain, but that won’t be a problem with Data Rollover on the Carphone Warehouse’s iD network.

It’s the first UK network to let you carry over your data from one month to the next, meaning you get exactly what you pay for. Sign up to a 4GB monthly plan, but only use 3GB one month, and you’ll have 5GB to use in the next.

Data rollovers aren’t a new thing in the UK, but iD is the first network to do it without charging customers for the privilege.

Any rolled over data will get used up first, before you start eating into your new allowance, so you’re always getting the maximum amount for your cash. You can keep an eye on how much you’ve got with the iD app.

There were already plenty of reasons to pick up an iD SIM card over the larger networks: TakeAway lets you roam in 29 countries without any additional costs, and ShockProof caps your plan so you don’t get a nasty surprise at the end of the month.

Free data rollovers could be the thing that makes heavy users sit up and take notice of the phone network upstart, though.

It’s available to new and existing customers on the 12 and 14 month GoTo plan, or the one-month rolling GoTo SIM-only plan from today onwards.
