Poor old Lieutenant Jimmy Patterson must have killed every Nazi soldier from the Second World War three times over, but luckily for PSP owners there’s still some left to pick off – he’ll be returning this winter in a new title from EA.
Medal of Honor Heroes will see three of the series’ old characters return in individual missions. Sergeant John Baker from Allied Assault Breakthrough finds himself in Italy, Lieutenant William Holt goes back to the Ardennes and good old Jimmy joins the fray in Holland as part of Operation Market Garden.
There’ll be the usual creeping through war-torn streets and driving tanks, but the multiplayer mode sounds particularly interesting. There’ll be six different modes to choose from, including ‘Quickplay’ which will let you dive into a clash with up to 32 other players via Wi-Fi.
Alternatively, you can just play a local ad-hoc game with eight mates across the 15 different maps with 20 of the game’s classic characters, which you can unlock in the single player mode. We just hope the game still includes the German soldiers’ panic-stricken cries of ‘it’s Jimmy Patterson!’ as you throw a grenade into their office.
