It's official – Apple iPod nano 4G

Jivo iPod nano 4G

Third-party manufacturers, don't you just love them?

While Apple's lips remain as tight as a gnat's whatsit on the new range of Apple iPods heading our way on Tuesday, what should drop into our inbox, but an official press release from iPod accessory retailer Easyishop.co.uk detailing cases from manufacturer Jivo for the new iPod nano 4G.

Available in both hard case and a silicone number, the Jivos are said to be "designed to fit the 4th Generation iPod Nano perfectly". Which is great, because we didn't even know for sure that such a thing existed.

As you can see, the Jivo case seems to confirm previous sightings from 3rd party case-punters, and features a taller, slimmer design and a larger screen to squeeze in more video goodies.

A spokesman for Easyishop told us that because if the smaller manufacturers do not sell in Apple Stores and are not official partner products, they aren't bound by the same NDA as the bigger boys. Meaning that they can hoot their traps off before the big event tomorrow.

We'll bring you more news faster than you can say "broken embargo" and remember to tune in for all the deets as they happen from the even tomorrow night at 6pm.

In the meantime, see what else we speculate in our Apple announcement rumours.
