INQ working on a Spotify phone?

08 Oct 2009

We've only just finished reviewing INQ's Twitter-tastic Mini 3G, but the UK-based company is apparently already working on a Spotify-branded follow up.According to TechCrunch, the phone is at the design stage at the moment and there's no news on release date or price, but it will be rolled out to all markets and is likely to be available on 3 in the UK.It wouldn't be the only phone with an 'all you can eat' music offering – Nokia Comes with Music phones like the 5310 give you unlimited access to the Nokia Music catalogue – and it's not clear yet whether or not the £10 per month Spotify Premium subscription would be subsidised in any way.But getting the Stuff award-winning music service onto more mobiles can only be a good thing. We'll bring you official news when get it.

Might it even be the Chat 3G?

It won't be the INQ Chat 3G. As the report above says, "According to TechCrunch, the phone is at the design stage at the moment and there's no news on release date or price". The INQ Chat 3G is past the design stage and is due to be released very, very soon.
