Apple plotting iPod Touch redesign?
While talk of the iPod Touch getting a bump to 64GB gathers pace in the run up to Apple’s annual iPod extravaganza in September, new tittle tattle points to a redesign for the touchscreen PMP.According to analysts Piper Jaffray, not renowned for their accuracy it has to be said, Apple is lining up a refresh of the Touch to bring the design into line with the iPhone 3G.This suggests a black or white plastic back, which would certainly make it cheaper for Apple to pump out of there Far East factories. And lest we forget, for us lot to buy. However, the plastic back on the iPhone 3G was there for a reason – to boost the 3G signal, something the iPod Touch obviously doesn’t need.Elsewhere, the prediction–meisters are also playing up a new aluminium MacBook, something that now seems like a dead cert.
