Amazon MP3 heads for T-Mobile G1

Now this is what we want from a Google phone. Amazon has confirmed that it's putting it's DRM–free download store straight onto the blower, letting eager punters grab tracks over Wi–Fi.

At the moment, this is US only, but all four majors and stacks of indies will be involved, making this a proper challenger to the iTunes Wi–Fi store on iPhone and iPod Touch.

There's nothing on whether this will be arriving on the UK version of the phone, but seeing as Amazon insiders suggested to us recently that their store was imminent, we reckon it will be.
