The edge to edge screens all miss a fundamental issue: iOS is a touch interface. Unless you have a form factor you can comfortably hold in one hand gripping the edges [like the iPhone], you have to have something to hold laterally. Grip a portion of the screen and it's registering your touch. You then have a problem. That's why the iPad had a bezel in the first place. Duh.
