Polaroid classic instant film cameras are to make a comeback, after it was announced last year that production was to be stopped.
When the company closed, the license to the brand was bought by Summit Global, which released its first digital version of the traditional instant camera, the Polaroid Two, earlier this year.
However, the company says it will be complementing its digital offerings by bringing back a range of original cameras and film products sometime in 2010, including the Polaroid 600 instant film and the easy-to-use Polaroid One.
That’s not to say Summit Global plans to ditch its digital Polaroid platforms. The company has also announced that it plans to bring a new instant digital camera to market – the Polaroid Three – that will produce 4”x3” while you wait.
We’ll be keeping you updated on this, but let us know what you think to Polaroid’s comeback below and be sure to check out our hands on video with the Polaroid Two to see what we thought.
