We've had both good and bad news about the PlayStation Vita today. The bad obviously being that the Vita may be Japan-bound way before we get our greasy mitts on it in the UK. The good? Sony's portable handheld is available for pre-order from Amazon.co.uk and pegs 31st December as its delivery date, and not March 2012 which is the current touted release date.
Both the Wi-Fi + 3G and Wi-Fi only models are available as initially reported, priced at £280 and £230 respectively. As expected, the 3G model doesn't list any network partners, but it goes without saying you're going to need to cough up a little extra cash regardless of who it's with.
If you need a reminder of its spec-list, we can tell you everything you need to know.
