Windows Phone 7 gets Amazon Kindle app
News of an Amazon Kindle eReader app for Windows Phone 7 broke cover in October last year but its taken until now for the free app to land in the MarketPlace store. It all means WP7 users can now enjoy reading a good book on their mobile phone. We still have reservations about how you can actually read large swathes of text on such a small screen for long periods with out permanently damaging your mince pies. The only WP7 handset with big enough screen for comfortable scanning is the HTC HD7 and even then its capricious 4.3-inch display may be too poky.Still, if you’re game and have eagle strong eye sight then you can browse the 750,000 titles on offer from the Amazon eBook store – 550,000 books will cost but if you’re feeling skint there are free classic to download – and if you own numerous Kindle supporting device its Whispersync will sync your last page read, notes and highlighted text across all devices.
