Web addict
iPhone 3G
You can’t cope with being offline for more than five minutes. Whisper it, but the iPhone 3G is a bit special when it comes to the web (if you can overlook the lack of Flash), its browser looking and feeling a million miles better than other phones out there. Plus it’s finally got HSDPA, so broadband speeds are a banker.

    Hi Max

I'm certainly no Apple fanboy and have been happy to criticise their overpriced movie downloads, pricing strategy for the Touch firmware and Apple TV in general. I own a Touch and nano, but use a PC at home.

However, I chose the iPhone 3G largely because it does have the best mobile web browser going. I don't think there's anything to touch it in terms of usability and readability, the two factors I based this on. Flash support is a pain, but there is the YouTube app for watching vids (our own video reviews included).

The whole purpose of this feature when we discussed it was to steer away from the 'iPhone 3G is the only decent touchscreen phone out there' theory. However, there's no way you can ignore it either.

    Hope that clears things up.

    Cheers

    Hi Max

Good point. But this uses Opera Mini, so really it's got nothing on the other phones you can download it on. I use it on my N95 8GB and it's great sometimes, but it's not as intuitive as the iPhone 3G.

I've used the Xperia and found it didn't compare as favourably. And I spend a disturbing amount of time online with my phone. I just think the iPhone 3G is better in this instance.

    Cheers

    Joe

The best touch screen phone, I have seen would be the new Nokia N97.

This Nokia N97 is the latest addition to the N series from Nokia, which comes with a boasts of impressive features such as a generous 3.5 inch touch screen, sliding QWERTY keyboard, integrated GPS and A-GPS receivers with built-in Nokia maps and a Micro-SDHC slot.

The Nokia N97 comes in two flavours, black or white, and has big advantages over the iPhone and Blackberry Storm. The Nokia N97 is truly a mobile computer with multimedia capabilities, including offers the user offers the user access to a QWERTY keyboard. The keyboard is well spaced making it easy for all finger sizes to punch in text.
