The hardware inst that bad looking and the software is dangerously good looking. The way it is not too cluttered or looking too complicated it looks like it should be very easy to use like the iPhone...The big thing the iPhone has is a great core OS on their phone so it shall be really good to see how the open source community tackle the Android OS  and see what is capable. Overall I think it needs a lot of care and attention to detail to let it mature into a potentially great OS by Google constantly updating it and taking as much feedback off users and developers as possible.

I'm sure Andriod might be amazing and very much the way forward for mobile software but the handset sure is ugly! I doubt Apple are running scared anyway. It looks like a kids toy and I can't imagine the keyboard is going to be very easy to type on with that lump sticking out to the right with the screen open!

On paper it looks like a main contender for the iPhone crown, Apple haters and non vain gadget lovers will be happy with the app store and bundled software, not to mention the price. Downsides are the worrying lack of storage, especialy for an iPhone alt., its lack of glossy, shiny goodness and bulky body make it look like a retro portable games console and the addition of a 3MP camera is welcome but no flash or video support disappoints. One word "marmite".
