Tech Tickler – can Google's Android phone see off the iPhone?
With HTC's Android–toting HTC Dream finally set for its official release next week, we want to know what you guys think about its chances.
Can it see off the iPhone 3G and claim its position at the smartphone top table? Or will we have to wait for next year's string of Android–based Gphones to see the OS reach its awesome potential.

Well I think we'll have to wait until the first 50 updates done then at least it will be on a level playing field. Probably not though.

We'll see. Making an OS from scratch and not relying on the safety net of Win Mo (I'm looking at you, HTC) will prove to be to be harder than they think, I suspect.
But, anything that can light a fire under Apple's a$$, has to be a good thing, to stave off complacency.
