T-Mobile lets us know just how speedy iPhone 3G S is
After Apple's big iPhone 3G S shaped announcement on Monday, we were left with one question. Ok, so the S stands for speed, but how much extra oomph am I actually getting under the hood?
While Apple remained tight-lipped on the deets, Wired spotted that T-Mobile in the Netherlands was obviously feeling a lot more generous with the specs, and has outed them on its website.
The 3G S will apparently pack a 600MHz processor up from the 412MHz seen in the first two models, and double the RAM – from 128MB to 256MB.
Why Apple didn't want to advertise those details we're not sure. But following the slip up of T-Mobile Austria (which posted a placeholder for a new 32GB iPhone on its website days before the announcement), it seems the mobile operator may have a bit of apologising to do.
Still, at least we know exactly what we're paying those rather steep upgrade costs for...

Nice specs, and the graphics chip (PowerVR SGX GPU) is a big improvement which enables it run OpenGL ES 2.0 - nice! :)

just need the games to harness the power of OGL ES 2 now.
I would like to see bluetooth/wi-fi file transfer to any phone added to the feature list before i get one though. In 3.0, you can only send files to iPhones via Bluetooth. And music files are a no-no obviously.
