Sony Ericsson W995 gets priced and dated
With all the fuss surrounding the awesome Sony Ericsson Idou, it's become all too easy to overlook SE's other MWC wonder phone, the W995. Touted ahead of the Barcelona mobile show, it's slipped off the radar somewhat. Until now.Expansys, those lovers of leaked release dates, have just pegged the blower for a 14 May release date, with a rather hefty £409 price tag coming with it. Obviously that's sans–SIM, but it's still on the pricey side.So what will you get for all that cold, hard happy paper? Well, more than enough to sate even the most demanding of mobile fanatics. You'll find an 8MP camera, MediaGo software which will transcode any audio, snaps and videos into usable files and a 3.5mm jack for using your own buds. Good phone but pricey (rather, overpriced)! Good news... 1. A 3.5mm port is finally included for music 2. Camera with LED flash and AZ is actually good but still only meant for day- or short-distance shots. (Can't have it rival Cybershot phones or cameras as this was probably what SE was thinking)! Bad news... 1. Pricey 2. Crappy media software
