Sony Ericsson Kurara aims to do Satio on a budget
Sony Ericsson is reportedly working on a lesser-featured, more affordable version of its megapixelled-wonder, the Satio, just in time for an announcement at Mobile World Congress early next year.
The Satio, first known as the Idou was spotted at the same trade show earlier this year, so it certainly seems viable that Sony Ericsson would use MWC to make a similar announcement this year.
The phone is reported to feature the same Symbian S60 OS and full touchscreen, but it will feature an 8-megapixel camera rather than the Satio's sizeable 12 megapixels.
It's thought the Kurara will join be part of Sony Ericsson's new "Entertainment Unlimited" branding, so we can expect a fully-featured multimedia phone with a good music player on board and easy browsing experience.
That's all we have on the Kurara at the moment, but we can expect more details to leak out over the coming months. We'll keep you updated but in the meantime check out what we thought to the Kurara's muse – the Satio – in our full review and hands on video.
