Skype hitting iPhone tomorrow, BlackBerry in May
As expected, Skype will be launching a free app for iPhone this week, and will follow that up with a BlackBerry app in May.
Reuters reports that the iPhone app will allow Skype users to call each other free of charge using the phone's Wi-Fi or 3G connection. It'll work on the microphone-equipped latest version of the iPod Touch too, via Wi-Fi.
Users can also call regular phone numbers for a fee, and one of the nice features of the app is that it shares your iPhone's existing address book, so you don't have to create a separate list for Skype.
