Sharp new Motorola ZN300 incoming

19 Feb 2009

ZN300Motorola's stand at MWC was more sparse than your local Woolworths before Christmas. But at least they're not giving up the ghost just yet, with the new Moto ZN300 getting detailed today.

Spotted by the fellas at Mobile Review, it's a bulky looking slider that's unlikely to cause the other big mobile players too much hassle. Under than neat little slidey frame you'll find a 3MP camera, a QVGA display, a 3.5mm jack and a Linux OS.

Sadly, that's about your lot, meaning Moto really has its work cut out if it wants to compete even with Nokia's excellent new mid–range blowers, including the killer new 6700 Classic.

What we all want to see is Motorola's stab at and Android phone. Get it right and get it out early and it could mean a big u–turn in their miserable fortunes.

For all the latest phones from MWC, check out our pick of the hottest phones shown off at the show now.

I always liked the idea of Motorola mobiles more than the experience of actually owning them in the past.

Now I don't even like the idea.
