Samsung outs Omnia HD
In a standing room only Samsung press conference at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Samsung has whipped the covers off a mighty new touchscreen smartphone that's capable of recording high definition video. The Omnia HD joins the Sony Ericsson Idou as MWC's second potential iPhone botherer, with a whopping 3.7in AMOLED touchscreen, Symbian OS, and the skills necessary to record and playback 720p hi-def video. Some talent for a mobile phone. Once recorded, DLNA support means you'll be able to stream it to your HD telly, or upload to the net via HSDPA or Wi-Fi.Round the back there's an 8MP snapper to back-up Samsung's new-found camcorder qualities, plus GPS and 8GB or 16GB of on-board memory that's expandable up to 48GB with a microSDHC card. Tocco users will be familiar with the TouchWiz interface and widgets, too – let's just hope it's a bit more responsive than we're used to.Best of all, we're only expecting a short wait before the Omnia HD hits the shops; it's due on the shelves before June.Essentials Samsung Omnia HD Price: £TBA On sale: June Contact: Samsung

Does anyone know if there apps for this? Like Android Market and Apple's iStore etc. Because it would make this phone full proof. not that its full proof already :)
