RIM's BlackBerry Storm official at last
BlackBerry fans, you can breathe a sigh of relief. After a string of leaks, shaky videos and half-hearted denials, RIM has finally made the touchscreen BlackBerry Storm official. And just looking at its string of high-end features, we can tell you that it's not going to disappoint.Like it's main fruit-flavoured rival, there's 3G on board for us Europeans, as well as a 480 x 360, 3.26in touchscreen. Press it and you'll get haptic feedback, and in a cool move, the whole thing can be pressed downwards to give you the feeling of tapping an actual key.Being a blower designed for panicked City types, there's support for Word, Excel and PowerPoint editing, so whipping up docs about why the bank you work for isn't going to the wall will be nice and easy. Obviously, there's a dose of Bluetooth 2.0 and plenty of other features ti turn this into something a wee bit more playful.Round the back you find a 3.2MP camera and under the hood you get 1GB of storage, which you can beef up using the 8GB card that'll come in the box.Vodafone, who'll be bringing RIM's latest effort to the UK, is remaining coy on price, but has said it'll be coming out during November. We're off to have a play with the BlackBerry Storm this morning, so stay tuned for our first thoughts on the latest iPhone-baiter.Essentials BlackBerry Storm Price: £TBA On sale: November Contact: BlackBerry
