Nokia Tube coming 2 October
We've heard so much about the Nokia Tube, we're just relieved that the official launch is finally in sight. Reuters has managed to pin down a couple of well–informed analysts who say that the touchscreen will finally, definitely launch in London on 2 October.That ties in with a Nokia powwow for the unveiling of Nokia Comes With Music, suggesting the new phone will come with access to all those free tracks too.The cell is being billed as a mid–range handset rather than a top–of–the–line iPhone–baiting blower. Look, the iPhone is not that wonderful and Nokia don't need a iPhone beater. Many many people don't like touch screen devices - very difficult to text when on the move and very difficult to use one-handed. So please, remember there are other types of people and consumers in the world. Even the cheap Nokia 6220 Classic has many many features lacking in the iPhone (A2DP, 5MP cam, video capture, edit Office files, etc).

Like it or loathe it, just face facts. Even despite the iPhone's lack of said features, the industry is falling over itself trying to get close to what the iPhone does do very well.

If everyone wanted an iPhone Apple would be selling 10 million a week. This is not the case, most 02 and CPW shops have stocks. As I said, not everyone wants an iPhone. Nokia sell 4 times the number of Smartphones that Apple do even with all the hype around the iPhone here and other so called tech sites.
