LG to launch app store next month

Following on from Sony Ericsson's partnership with GetJam last week, LG has become the latest phone manufacturer to confirm plans for its very own app store.

LG's CEO Ahn Seung-kwon outed the company's plans at a press conference in Korea, and it seems there certainly won't be any hanging around – Seung-kwon says the LG App Store will open next month.

As ElectricPig reports, it's not clear if the LG app store will hit the West, but with its phones being so popular on these shores, we can't see any reason why not.

We're now waiting for Samsung – one of LG's biggest rivals – to hop on the app store bandwagon, and then we'll have a full house of most major manufacturers.
