iPhone 3G S – UK pricing and pre-order details
After the announcement that the new iPhone 3G S will hit our shores on 19 June, the next question punters wanted to know is if there was any change to the network provider. And the answer is no – for the moment it seems the iPhone 3G S will still be an O2 exclusive. The network swiftly announced that it would be supporting the new iPhone, complete with faster hardware, video playback and editing, a new 3MP camera and voice recognition, while all other UK networks remained schtum. The iPhone 3G S will be available from O2 stores and also at Carphone Warehouse in 11 days' time, although you can pre-order the phone exclusively at Carphone Warehouse from this Wednesday (10 June) – a whole nine days before its release. As for pricing, O2 has let the cat out of the bag via its official Twitter feed, letting us know that the 3G S will cost up to £184.98 for the 16GB, and up to £274.23 for the 32GB, depending on what tariff you go for. Keep it locked to Stuff.tv for an iPhone 3G s video as soon as we get our hands on one...

Well that's put me earlier comment back up my a**e. I am impressed with the prices compared to the previous iphone s. But its still quite a lot given that the existing 3g will have been updated so not that much more for all that money. Still, i am still really looking forward to it and been hanging out for my upgrade for 3 whole months so I am sure i will enjoy it.

yeah...I think it's great, but a little upset there was no OLED screen, front facing camera for iChat etc...but you can't have everything. Might make my way to the Apple store and see if its worth the upgrade from iPhone 3G

There has indeed - you'll be able to get it PAYG with O2 for the following: * iPhone 3G S 16GB - £440.40 * iPhone 3G S 32GB - £538.30 The iPhone 3G 8GB will also be available for £342.50. Any iPhone bought on PAYG will come with the unlimited web and Wi-fi bolt-on for free for 12 months (when you use the O2 PAYG SIM of course).

Not all that impressed with the extra features. Certainly not enough of them to justify upgrading from my 3G once OS 3.0 is released. And why only a 3 Mega pixel Camera?? I'll be sticking with my 3G!!
