Guinness World Records app – break records on your iPad
Guinness World Records: At Your Fingertips is a new app from the chroniclers of such vital knowledge as “owner of the earth’s longest toenails” and “most popular book to buy at the last minute in Waterstones for a dad’s Christmas present”. And it actually lets you attempt to break actual world records on your iPad.The app features a trio of challenges: a 100m dash against Usain Bolt in which you use two fingers to beat the 9.58 second world record (we have no idea how this would work); fastest backwards alphabet typing (fair enough); and longest sequence memorised, a memory endurance test.As well as these, the app features a veritable shedload of record-related goodies, including photos, videos and info. You can grab it from the App Store from tomorrow, 16 December, for £2.99.
