Blackberry 9000 finally gets official

12 May 2008

The Blackberry 9000 has long been lusted after by highly–strung, pinstripe–wearing City types. And now they can get back to worrying about important stuff (like, er, that looming recession), because RIM has got official with its new toy. Also dubbed the Blackberry Bold (it’s for high–flying hardcore workoholics, remember), the new phone crams in a stack of new features. There’s HSDPA for zipping around the net, Bluetooth 2.0 and a 480x320 display.Along with the now, as standard GPS, you get geotagging. So you can tell exactly when and where you took those pics of Tarquers and the J Man on the lash after that all important pow wow in the Munich office.RIM’s saying nothing about a release date or price, but we’d say you’re more likely to get your hands on a 3G iPhone first. What do you think of this new model? Same old, or well worth a punt. Let us know in the comments section. Essentials Blackberry 9000 Price: £TBA On sale: 2008 Contact: BlackBerry Bold
