Apple's App Store has already gone live, with a back door entry link posted on Engadget this morning.
In an interview with USA Today, Apple’s head honcho Steve Jobs has said there’ll be 500 apps available at launch and that 25 per cent of them will be free.
After a quick butcher's at the App Store, this seems to hold true. UK pricing ranges from free to £17.99, with the vast majority at £5.99 or below.
If you're into simian-based gaming (and why wouldn't you be?), Super Monkey Ball and Chimps Ahoy! both come in at £5.99.
Jobs reckons the App store is the biggest launch he’s ever worked on. And with the iPhone 3G primed to hit shelves in less than 24 hours, that’s a bold statement.

Yeh, the App store looks good and all, but surely its a better idea to launch the firmware upgrade then the app store so we can use it straight away. Its abit like dangling the carrot infront of the donkey....

Anyone else noticed that the much acclaimed EBay app that is splashed over all of apples App Store advertising on its website is not present for download yet?
