3 launches '3 on demand' mobile TV service

22 Jan 2009

33's already been bragging about is new 'Books on Demand' eReader this week. But now the mobile network has turned its attention to TV, firing up their new '3 on Demand' service.

The new offering will include access to existing Sky TV and BBC iPlayer services, as well as accessing a vast range of shows available on 3 TV. That includes tawdry US reality show The Hills and South Park.

You'll still be able to access streaming services from Sky on your phone, so watching Spurs take a pounding in the Carling Cup final on the train is a goer.

Existing customers will be able to stream shows over the 3G network from 99p an episode. You can pause and start whenever you want, so you don't need to watch entire episodes in one sitting either.

You can give it a whirl now. Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
