Windows Phone 8 quad-core handsets leaked

Windows Phone 8

A memo supposedly from Japanese network DoCoMo has revealed another interesting nugget of information on top of those previously mentioned new Nexus devices. The document mentions a number of quad core Windows Phone 8 devices.

Under Fujitsu Toshiba, a mysterious device it calls the "Arrows X LTE" comes equipped with a quad core Atom processor. Also mentioned is a Windows 8 switching mode (for PC mode) – could this phone be plugged in, Asus Padfone-style, to create a PC-type experience? Not only that, an Arrows Tab also gets a mention, as well as what could be the first dual core Windows Phone.

Adding more fuel to the fire, the document refers to a Sharp quad-core "Windows RT Mobile" – RT is the tablet version of Windows 8.

Sure, we'll be taking this document with a big pinch of salt for the time being – and the translation makes exact details difficult to come by – but if it's legitimate, Windows Phone 8 is about to get a serious shot in the arm.

Somewhat good and an interesting OS. But just to make sure, I put my money into an already stable OS such as Android or Apple. Not to mention, Android has bunch of choices for quad-core buddies like this:

And that company is the one making iPhone 5 glass, so it's an incredible Asian company for Apple to put their full trust on it.

Can't wait to finally get my hands on the next Nokia WP8 device! The Lumia 900(sans camera, although the Tango update fixed the issues), is one of my favorite phones of all time. The OS, is shockingly smooth and to say it's only a single core and it's this smooth, is really amazing. Now with support for multi-core, can only make it that much better. Hoping to get a Pureview WP8 device from Nokia. Build quality of Nokia, has been unmatched by any other company, even the Clear Black screen is great, no problems outdoors either. Didn't get a chance to try out the Toshiba WP7 device, but they really did look good. Depending on how the build quality is, I may try it as well.
