iPhone 5 to be released on 15th October?

14 Sep 2011

It’s been a long couple of days since the last smattering of iPhone 5 rumours but that short dry spell has come to an end with fresh speculation of a mid-October release.

This latest piece of gossip comes after mac4ever reported that the CEO of Orange’s parent company France Telecom let it slip that his sources have chalked up Apple’s next phone for a 15th October release date.  Stephane Richard also confirmed that his network would be offering special tariffs for the device, but gave no information about his sources.

A Saturday release date goes against Apple’s previous launches, but false or not, it’s only a matter of time before the hype-inducing blower is at last officially announced.
