Samsung Galaxy S3 pre-ordered nine million times

Itching to get your hands on the new Samsung Galaxy S3? Join the queue - Samsung has already had over nine million pre-orders for its latest superphone.
Reuters says huge demand has seen pre-orders fly in from more than 100 worldwide carriers, making the new Android flagship one of the most in-demand handsets on record.
Earlier in the year, Samsung topped the list of the the world's biggest smartphone makers, fending off competition from the likes of Apple and HTC. Now the Korean giant shows no signs of stopping, with its smartphone factory said to be churning out five million handsets a month.
Destined to do battle with the HTC One X and the looming, almost mythical iPhone 5, Samsung's quad-core beast will hit UK shops on May 30th, but can be snapped up a day earlier at Samsung's Brand Store in Westfield Stratford - if you're willing to brave the queues.

What I should do: wait until the contract runs out on my S2 next year. Renew contract with free S3.
What I want to do: get the S3 sim-free on launch day, try to make up for silly spending by selling my S2 at a loss, end up not caring because of S3 techno-joy.
Decisions, decisions..

See, I'm still on a contract with the original S until January. Too expensive to change.
By then the S4 will be on the slate or something.
