Nokia outs colourful 603 with NFC

We're a sucker for a colourful array of handsets so imagine our delight when we clapped eyes on Nokia's new 603 Symbian Belle smartphone. Announced today, the Nokia 603 joins the NFC brigade, letting you wirelessly connect to friends' phones and accessories like this new Luna Bluetooth headset (below), but it rocks a much nicer price than other forward-thinking handsets.

When it's released at the end of the year, you'll be looking at a price of around £175 – a snip for the 603's respectable 1GHz processor, 3.5in 640x360 display, 5MP camera and Ovi Store apps and games.

When we get a UK release date, we'll put the Nokia 603 through its paces but for a first smartphone, it looks like it packs plenty of features into a good value handset. Roll on Nokia's comeback campaign.
