iPhone 4S available for rental from O2

If you're yet to dive in to the Apple ecosystem or just don't want to be shackled to a two-year contract then O2's new iPhone 4S rental scheme might be the solution for you.

The O2 Lease service offers an iPhone 4S with 750 mins, unlimited texts, 500MB of data and insurance for £55 and £65 a month for the 16GB and 32GB versions respectively. After 12 months, you return the phone to O2.

Businesses can also get in on the action, with the option to rent an iPhone 4S from £45 a month, with unlimited calls to ten UK landlines included.

Although pricing is higher than some monthly contracts, the service should offer flexibility for fickle gadgeteers to change smartphones more frequently, allowing them to gorge themselves on a variety of shiny mobile options. Let the smartphone binge begin.
