Ice Cream Sandwich to be served up before Christmas

Google’s Eric Schmidt has recently confirmed in an interview with SalesForce that the next tasty iteration of Android should be with us in a few months’ time. Ice Cream Sandwich is the first Android OS to unite the UI experience between tablets and mobile devices and boasts a panoramic camera mode, a new launcher/app drawer and other UI tweaks.

It is rumored to debut on the still-unofficial Nexus Prime handset although older Android devices should also be able to get in on the action, so no need to discard your faithful little 'droid phone just yet.
