RIM's first BlackBerry 10 phone – currently dubbed the BlackBerry London – isn't due to be revealed till later this year, but that hasn't stopped CrackBerry from picking up on design firm Pixelcarve's fictional BlackBerry Blade mock-up.

Although sadly a concept, we can't help but be impressed by the sleek curved design, 12MP camera and 1.5Ghz quad-core processor packed into the BlackBerry Blade. Throw in the upcoming BlackBerry 10 OS – which looked promising in leaked shots earlier this year – and we've got a concept smartphone which we'd happily slip into our pockets.

Although BlackBerry 10 devices are expected to adopt the PlayBook's swipe gestures, the Blade concept still packs in a full QWERTY keyboard and trackball, offering the best of both worlds for people who like a bit of tangibility in their lives.

RIM has kept its lips firmly sealed on the subject of the BlackBerry London and other future BlackBerry 10 devices, but if it can pull off anything remotely along the lines of this design then its BlackBerry 10 range should be off to a solid start.

I can only hope, I'm anticipating all overhauls of the Mobile OS'es this year. This looks really neat, I just hope RIM can evolve the Balckberry 10 smartphones like these, sleek and innovative with a beautiful UI like Web OS.
