Want this limited edition red BlackBerry Z10? Better start making some apps

BlackBerry has decided to thank developers for their commitment to BlackBerry 10 by announcing that it will be giving away 12,000 limited edition red BlackBerry Z10 handsets.
All you have to do it submit a worthy app to BlackBerry App World by February 28th and your race-car-red Z10 will be shipped straight to your eagerly awaiting hands.
While the red version is identical to its black and white siblings in the specs department, we're certain that it felt faster in our hands, most likely because of the improved aerodynamic properties of the sleek and shiny red paint job. Or maybe that's just our imaginations running wild again.
Check out our BlackBerry Z10 review and BlackBerry 10 OS need to know guide for the full lowdown on the Z10 to see if you fancy taking a crack and some app crafting.
Now if you'll excuse us, we're off to cook up some quality apps. All involving cats, of course.
Edit: To clarify, you'll need to already have a Dev Alpha A or B device, which you'll need to send back before receiving your shiny new red handset. Check out the exchange instructions here for the full process.

To clarify, you can't just submit an app to BlackBerry World. There's a criteria but you must also be in possession of a Dev Alpha device which was handed out to developers during the BlackBerry Jam World Tour that took place last year.
So, even if you do submit an app by February 28th, if you don't have a Dev Alpha, you won't get one. It was part of a trade-in program.
Think you need to make that clear. You can read the facts over on the Limited Edition FAQs. Only the deadline was extended https://developer.blackberry.com/devzone/blackberry10devalpha/devalpha_limitededition_faq.html
