2011 in tech – May

May was a good month for Android smartphone fans, with three of the year's key phones released and an OS update announced.
The Samsung Galaxy S II was released at the start of the month – and quickly won over a legion of fans. We loved it – and it went on to scoop the Stuff Awards 2011 Phone of the Year.
HTC's flagship Sensation also hit the shelves, alongside the Motorola Atrix – and if that wasn't enough, the first hints of Google's Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich dropped.
Meanwhile, early rumours of Amazon developing a colour tablet successor to the Kindle emerged – which would subsequently bear fruit in the form of the Kindle Fire.
