The Fly (1986)

In 1958 The Fly was a great film but it wasn't until the special effects of the ‘80s were unleashed on it that the story truly came alive. An eccentric scientist (Jeff Goldblum) finds a bodged experiment turns him into a man/fly hybrid. A scene where a cat/monkey was created, and subsequently killed with a lead pipe, got cut after a Toronto screening. What a waste.
