Panasonic to launch smartphones outside of Japan

Panny has its mobile sights aimed outside of the land of the rising sun

Panasonic is reportedly searching for a UK PR agency to help launch a line of smartphones in the UK and other EU contries. According to PR Week, the Japanese electronic giant plans to produce Android-powered smartphones, one of which is the P-07C, a 4.3in device with mobile TV capabilities.

This will be the first time that Panasonic has launched a handset outside of its home turf since 2005, and we can’t wait to see what new contenders it brings to the ruthlessly competitive smartphone arena. We’ll bring you more information as we get it, as always.
