This will no doubt enrage Apple, which has continually said that third party devices would not be supported by its software. Seems that Palm has other ideas.
The Palm webOS 1.1.0 update says that it "resolves an issue preventing media sync from working with the latest version of iTunes (8.2.1)", but also includes a number of other minor updates, such as tweaks to Calendar, Contacts and Camera apps, emoticon support in texts, a new forward-swipe gesture and support for new Exchange ActiveSync Policies.
What remains to be seen now is if Apple comes back with another Pre-blocking update, and if it does, how long the pair will go at it to get their way. Which will be the first to cave in? It's over to Apple for the reply.
