Palm details WebOS SDK plans

With the Palm Pre in line for release this summer, the team behind the phone that has the potential to give Apple a happy slap has just released more

The operating system that's got Cupertino in a tizzy has just had its SDK programme beefed up, with CEO Michael Abbot telling suits in the US yesterday that access to the developer kit would be opened up at That means stacks of amazing apps and extras should be in place when it hits the shelves.

He also spoke of plans for an emulator app, which will let old school PalmOS apps play nice on the WebOS platform. There's also talk of integrated cloud services, meaning Palm has truly got MobileMe and Nokia Ovi in its sights.
