Inside that rather sturdy looking bod there's the now customary Intel Atom processor, 1GB of RAM, 160GB HDD, an 8.9in screen and, of course, Wi–Fi. Word on the web is that a 3G version is already being planned.

It's due to head into PC World in January, with a Samsung NC10 and Toshiba NB100 beating £249 price tag. Now that's exactly the kind of bargain we're after in these times of financial desperation.
