Nokia plotting iTunes rival

Not content with squaring up to Apple with its Xpress Music gubbins, Nokia is preparing to take on the might of iTunes with its one stop shop and libr

The guys over at NokNok have uncovered plans, currently being given a going over in Nokia’s Beta Labs, for an app dubbed Music PC.

The plan is to let you drag tunes straight from your library onto your blower, as well as acting as a place to download tracks you fancy from the Nokia Music Store. Sounds rather like an Apple–flavoured tool we’re all familiar with, no?

Best of all, it’ll work with any MP3 player that uses Microsoft’s Music Transfer Protocol. Nice to see Nokia sharing the wealth.

There’s no release date as yet, but anything that makes it easier to shovel our favourite Heart songs onto our N95 8GB is good with us.
