Nintendo DSi XL confirmed – hitting Europe in early 2010

Well that didn't take long. That bigger-screened Nintendo DSi we heard whisperings of a couple of days ago has now been confirmed for release in Japan

With dual 4.2-inch screens, the DSi LL will be released on 21 November aimed at gamers wanting to use their console to browse the internet.

The 93% screen increase on the DS Lite will also help to increase font size for reading-heavy games as well.

The DSi LL will apparently come bundled with two touch pens and three DSi Ware titles pre-installed, and will be available in a choice of brown, red and white.

It's also been confirmed the new handheld will launch in Europe in the first quarter of 2010, but will be known as the DSi XL on these shore.

It's expected to hit shelves in Japan for JPY 20,000 (around £134), but exact UK prices are to be confirmed.
