Sony's not just unveiling ludicrously slim TVs and super-specced cameras here at IFA, no sir. They're adding some new Walkmans to the mix too. The S series has already sneaked out online, but the official announcement has just come in and we have to say they look mighty impressive.
Measuring just 7.5mm, the slimline models come with a stonking battery, with 40 hours for your tunes and 10 hours for spying your vids. They're open platform, so you can use MP3s and AAC+, plus they pack in Sony's SensMe tech, picking out tunes to match whatever mood you're in. Just dose us up with some angry death metal and we'll be happy.
They come with 4GB inside, as well as a 2in screen, it should give Apple plenty to think about in the run up to 9 September at least.
Sony's also got official with the new B and E series models too, each packing between 2GB and 4GB and with decent batteries to boot. You can expect to lay your hands on them next month. Now the question is whether the new nano can take them down.
