A new Apple iMac has been spotted in the wild, sporting a thinner body and ramped-up specs – and a rumoured Blu-ray drive.
The chaps over at AppleInsider have reported that the new iMac dual-core all-in-ones have been in production for two weeks, so we can expect a launch announcement very soon.
Details are still a bit thin on the ground, but word is that there will definitely be a thinner form factor, perhaps taking Apple's Cinema Display monitor as its design cue.
There are also some other "new features", and one possibility is that the new iMac models will be sporting a Blu-ray drive. Depite the fact that Steve Jobs has previously dismissed bundling the HD format in Apple's desktops, if the rumours of a cinema-style display are true, then Blu-ray would seem like an ideal addition to the functionality.
