My first gadget was the original yellow Sony Walkman.
I remember zoning out to Phil Collins and Robert Palmer – classy listening, but I loved it.
I was asked to be an ambassador for Blackberry
I’m not sure why I turned them down – I can’t live without mine. When the battery dies it’s like my life has turned off. I used to have the old-skool black and white Blackberry and people thought I was bizarre.
I find the iPhone gimmicky
I have tried it, as I’m a big fan of Macs but I just didn’t get on with the touchscreen. I think the iPhone is like a toy. The Blackberry is a tool.
Donkey Kong is the king of games
I used to spend hours in kebab houses as a kid playing Donkey Kong and Scrambler. Donkey Kong was massive in South London and I had the fold out Donkey Kong from Nintendo. I had a look on eBay for it recently – I think I might need to revisit my past.
I don’t think I’d like my films to become video-games
There was talk about turning Football Factory into a game and I wasn’t sure if I liked the idea. I have big issues about letting go of control, and a game is such a different medium to a film. I did help Rockstar create GTA Vice City though, and have a credit on that game.
My dream gadget is a robot massager
It would be amazing if they could find a way to replicate the human hands with a machine. You’d simply lie down and the mechanical hands would do all the work with no annoying chit chat. I’d pay whatever it cost for one of these!
Nick Love’s latest film The Firm will be out on the 25th September 2009. It features the Fila Terrinda tracksuit which has been redesigned for the movie.
