The Motorola PEBL’s teenage rebellion phase has begun – it’s just been released in new green, pink, blue and orange hues.
We’re usually averse to quoting marketing talk, but in this case we’ll make an exception: according to Moto Vice President, the company has gone ‘from pink to whoa’ with the new PEBLs. We couldn’t have described our reaction any better.
Aside from their technicolour dreamcoats, the new PEBLs are identical to the original matt-black models, which is to say they’re reasonably basic and easy-to-use clamshells.
There are some techie-friendly features, though, such as a VGA camera that’s capable of shooting MP4 video, and you get Bluetooth for hands-free action.
Apart from that, and Moto’s Screen3 tech for one-button access to news and other content, it’s all about the smart oval-shaped design, which was apparently fashioned from centuries of erosion and found washed up on a beach. Damn, they’re good at this marketing spin.
Unfortunately, we don’t have a price but we do know they'll be on sale in the next fortnight – be sure to check back here and at Motorola’s UK site for updates.
