Want a girlfriend? Get a Mac
Cosmo says women looking for love should wing their way to an Apple Store. Geeky boys of the world rejoice.
In my ongoing and largely fruitless quest to find the perfect woman I’ll take all the help I can get. Hooray then for the revelation that desperate single women may soon be descending on their local Apple Store in search of a date.
Glam-rag Cosmopolitan includes the Jobbsian temples of tech in its latest list of ‘Best Places To Meet A Guy’ along with big offices and the gym. Since I get tired just thinking about exercise and have foolishly chosen a not particularly lucrative job in the media, mooching around near Macbook may be my best option.
Cosmo says:
” Most guys are natural gadget lovers, and with sales of iPods and Macbooks skyrocketing, more men than ever are stopping by Apple boutiques. The vibe at the stores is conducive to man meeting too: You can check your email among cuties, take a free workshop on anything from Photoshop to podcasting (a great opportunity to strike up a conversation), or just survey the, ahem, good-looking merchandise.”
I’m not sure that I qualify as either ‘a cutie’ or ‘good-looking merchandise’ but I’m making a beeline for the Regent Street store nonetheless. I’ll be the shy looking one by the iMacs.
Has your love of consumer electronics ever led to actual love? Does a appreciation of Apple design make for a better boyfriend? Let us know in the comments…

Darn it! I was in an Apple Store today but I was too busy drooling over the Macbook Airs to see any nice women in there.

I once spent an hour and a half getting ready one Saturday night and when I came downstairs, my boyfriend at the time didn't even look up from his laptop.
Do you think I should've spent longer getting ready?!
