Satnav hits the iPhone

Proper satnav is something we've been desperate to see on our iPhone since GPS was shoved on there over the summer. Alas, it hasn't come to pass.

But now, according to Electric Pig, our dreams are about to be answered. A company called XRoad has stuck their G-Map app on the App Store over in the US, giving you maps for major cities in the States.

There's no word on whether their promise to "get directions" means it has proper turn–by–turn and being in the UK, we sadly can't give it a whirl. Have you seen or tried it? Let us know in the comments section.
