New iPod nano unearthed

25 Aug 2008

This just in from the founder of Digg, Kevin Rose. He claims that this is the brand new iPod nano, which is due to get official in September. The new design fits in with previous rumours we've heard that suggest Apple's best-selling jukebox will have yet another redsign, squeezing in a bigger screen for more video action.

Engadget does point out though that we should take this with a big pinch of salt. Kevin Rose previously claimed there'd be three versions of the original iPhone way back last year. Obviously, he was talking complete nonsense, but this time he has a pretty convicing snap to back up his theory.

Rose also claims that every iPod will get a hefty price cut, in order to slap down the opposition. The Touch will also get a minor redesign and 2.1 software to tie-in with new firmware for the iPhone 3G. Oh, and as an aside, he also says Snow Leopard for Mac will have Blu-Ray support when it drops next year.

What do you reckon? The real deal or a darn good Photoshop job? Let us know in the comments section.

I might not be photoshop. It could easily be a real object - ive seen loads of cheap looking ipodesque mp3 players around, but im sure that thing is not an apple design.

no way. Not at all. The new form factor of the 3G Nano worked. They're not going to go back on themselves.
